How powerful is our brain? This is a fairly loaded question... because our brain is a magnificent and powerful tool. It can inspire with awe, or it can restrain with awe.

We have the capacity to train, re-train and modify our thoughts.

Not many people see the brain as a tool or resource, but as an existent piece of the body, that just exists. When in reality, it is the most powerful part of our body - it drives everything. It is so complex, we cannot even begin to understand. Maybe we do not want to understand it fully, in fear of what we will find. Who knows! But, in reality, we can understand our OWN minds, and use them as a way to guide us to happiness and, ultimately, to our dreams.

We have the ability to control our emotions, our thoughts, and actions.

It is true. Believe it. I am no psychologist, so you may be thinking "what does this girl really know"? This is a fair statement. I can only base these thoughts off of my experiences and my desire to continuously learn, grow and try to understand my own emotional intelligence and brain power.

A blog about an unorganized optimist, does not seem very optimistic, or powerful in any way.

This may be true, but it is in fact a very powerful statement. We do not always have to be organized and understand everything. Sometimes we just need to be in chaos in order to understand our purpose, or reflect on our direction in this world. You only really grow when you face hardship, challenge, obstacles or feel defeat. How you come back from these, is a reflection of who you are, who you want to be and the path you choose to live. Being unorganized is not a bad thing; how you respond and collect yourself during hard times is a sign of personal character.

Optimism is what keeps me holding my head high, even when I want to run, hide or give up. Optimism is a trained trait, that takes a lot of time. When you Think "I suck, I will never be good" you stop and you say "I am doing my best, I will get better". Even if this takes a month, or two, or three. Stopping and acknowledging your thoughts, replacing them with what you want to think and say, powerful. Feeling unorganized is a mental state, and optimism is a choice. Choosing to be optimistic, even in times I feel unorganized will help me through any situation, and will help me to train my brain and emotions to react the way I would like to react in situations.

A blog about an unorganized optimist can be powerful. No one needs to feel organized 100% of the time and it is OK to feel unorganized, even defeated at times. How you hold your strength through the hard times helps really define who you are and the pathway you want to take in life. Not easy, I feel defeated a lot. Thanks to my family and friends, as well as the training I have done with my brain, I can get through these times.

Who do you have in your life to help you through? Who brings you up in your life, not down? Surround yourself with those people.... you need to take care of yourself first. You cannot take care of someone else until you take care of yourself. Sometimes you need to let people go in your life, even if it is hard, for the sake of getting to know yourself better.

Remember, you have power over your brain... when is the last time you listened to what your heart and brain were telling you, your intuition? These are powerful. If you do not listen to them, how can you ever be happy?
